Lessons
The lessons are available on the internet and they are accessed through a login name and password. A student is required to login in 3 to 5 times a week in order to check for updates, respond to questions by the teacher and to submit work.
A good text book is prescribed. The lessons are shaped around the text book.
Some of the tasks require the use of the internet as a research facility to get in touch with most current information and trends all over the world.
Lesson Format
Lessons are primarily text-based. Teachers explain concepts further and direct to the student to activities which are to be done in order for concepts to be understood and internalised fully.
Video lessons are occasionally used. These could be in the form of You-tube videos or proprietary video clips specifically created for our courses.
Many electronic formats are used in order to explain and support instruction. Powerpoint presentations, Spreadsheets, Databases and Drawing packages all have a role to play, depending on the subject matter covered.
Support
Support is primarily given via email. Our teachers put in every effort to check their email at least once every 24 hours, from Monday to Friday. When a student finds a text-based explanation too complex, then a telephonic appointment can be made with the relevant teacher. This is arranged via email or sms.
